Jackson Grant
Welcome back to Episode 25 of Blossom for Each Day Podcast. I am excited to share my chat ‘Real Talk with Jackson Grant, Photographer & Videographer.’
Growing up in Albury/Wodonga, the border of central NSW and VIC, picking up a camera from his mum as a teenager, he started shooting for fun at home. He soon realised that he needed to move to the big smoke, he moved down to Melbourne over 8 years ago. Here, he really found his identify, and feels like Melbourne is the place where he draws his inspiration from. Surrounded by music, friends and being proud of his extraverted personality, Jackson has shaped his Wedding & Commercial Business that represents him to perfection. You can see his vibes as you enter his instagram profile, or website, he really shapes his own path, and looks towards fine art & documentary photographers for inspiration.
In our chat, we discuss how he works with his clients to create magic on their wedding day, working with vendors and venues to make it worthwhile for everyone’s end result – but mostly the couple, how he stays productive when a lot of editing needs to get done, and our pet hates and loves when it comes to the wedding industry. He is such a positive and vibrant person, I really enjoyed our chat, and I hope you do too!!! You will get a lot out of it if you are a creative photographer or videographer.
In our conversation we discuss..
- How he found his calling in Photography & Videography
- How living in Melbourne has shaped his identity & style
- References and Inspiration he turns to when getting into the creative mindset
- Community over competition
- How he stays productive while editing & tips on work/life balance
